Choosing the Right Bank for Your Needs Part 2

Last time, we covered how monthly fees, transaction limits, and interest rates can be a positive or negative aspect when it comes to choosing a bank. Certainly there are more issues that will affect how you choose a bank. Take a look at these additional issues to keep in mind when you are choosing your new bank:

Online and Mobile Banking – Nowadays, most banks have some kind of online banking feature or app to help you take care of your banking from the comfort of your own home or on the road. If the bank you are looking at doesn’t have it, it should probably be a red flag that it won’t be convenient to bank there.

Overdraft Fees – If you have ever had to pay an overdraft fee, then you know how frustrating it can be! If you have had trouble in the past, it should be a good idea to request information about the overdraft issues you may face if you have to overdraft your account.

Customer Services – Let’s face it – money really does make the world go ‘round. When you are at the bank dealing with your money, you want to receive personalized services from people who are happy to work with you. Look up the bank and see what kind of customer service issues they have had in the past.

These are just recommendations and the crew at Michael Richards Consulting knows you should choose whichever bank is right for your situation. As an experience banking expert witness, we have seen many highs and lows in the world of banking.
